Hermits Cave at Dale Abbey. DE7 4PN. 8.1miles, 20 Mins in Car.

The village of Dale Abbey in the southeast of Derbyshire was originally an area known as Depedale. It was renamed after the monastery was founded in the 13th century, but the first religious occupation of this spiritual site was actually by a solitary hermit in the early 1100s.

Morley Hayes. DE7 6DG. 5.4 miles, 16 Mins in Car

The Morley countryside, woods and fields are between 5 and 7 kms.  We walk together as a group for about an hour and a half.  They are all very different; Bluebell carpets in our woods in May, Autumn colours and a talk about the trees and the conservation program that Morley Hayes is running in October.

Dovedale is a valley in the Peak District of England. The land is owned by the National Trust and attracts a million visitors annually.
